Born in
1947 in Drummondville, Pierre Tessier has been a professionnal sculptor for
30 years. He uses various materials : wood, metal, stone, concrete and
bronze. Pierre has participated in innumerable provincial, national and
international events and symposiums, at which he has received several
awards.
The
creator of several public sculptures, his artwork is oriented toward the
integration of his sculpture with architecture and the environment. His
passion for the profession has brought him to be involved in several
cultural and artistic organizations. He has been president of the «Conseil
de la sculpture du Québec» and later, of the « Regroupement des artistes en
arts visuels (RAAV) du Québec». He has created and supported since spring
2000 the natural artsite of ESSARTS.
