For "Fall's Event 2006", ESSARTS has invited the artists Andrew Darke of England and Dominique Laquerre of Québec. They will join host sculptor Pierre Tessier during the two weeks of the activity, which will take place from September 26 to October 8.
Andrew Darke's work is
usually engaged with the natural world. Recent works for outdoors are
responsive to the wind and sometimes he works directly on site with
found materials.
He and Dominique Laquerre
will share their experiences as experimental artists working
in landscape. Dominique's work is often inspired by the social history
of a site and she has created a number of public artworks.
Pierre Tessier will continue his work of experimentation and integration of his works into the wooded environment of Essarts.
