“Mouvement
ESSARTS” is an organisation whose mission is to help the creation,
promotion and diffusion of visuals arts, particularly sculpture and
installation.

Creation of work activities on site (symposium), artist in residency and
other activities of creation with national and international character. |

Diffusion in the natural environment of a woodland that receives the
collection of sculptures, installations or artworks produced with
ESSARTS. |

Public promotion of visual arts, and more particularly environmental
sculpture and installation (medium and large size). |
“Mouvement
ESSARTS” is based on a site, a studio and an artist. Indeed, ESSARTS
is where Pierre Tessier is living and working. The site location in the
countryside, in a large woodland, is ideal for research, creation and
diffusion in visual arts on a more opened view.
“Mouvement ESSARTS” offers
the activities that will help stimulate artistic creation and research:

A place for meeting in a
surrounding of work on site (symposium, artist in residency) where
the artists are invited to share their artistic approach; |

A place for working which is
well equipped and enables the artists to produce some personal works in a
collective work context; |
|
A place for research where the
artists are coming to create artworks that are intended to be integrated
in the natural environment. ESSARTS wants to favor a dialogue
between the artist and the environment, the work becoming the essence of
this dialogue. |
“Mouvement ESSARTS” offers
a space and a context that will aid the promotion and diffusion of visual
arts:

A place for the diffusion of
sculpture and installation (medium and large size) in the natural
surroundings of a woodland; |

A place for the promotion of
contemporary visual arts among a larger public; |
|
A place for meeting and sharing
between the public and invited artists. |

non-profit company incorporated in Québec.
