Born in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico in 1975.
She graduated in the University of Guadalajara specialized in sculpture in
the 1993 – 1998 where she had her first Solo exhibition for her
professional exam. In
1996, she participated as an assistant in the First International Symposium
of Monumental Concrete Sculpture “Colomos 96” in Los Colomos park, in
Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1997, she participated in Drummondville
(Quebec) Snow Sculpting Symposium as a member of Guadalajara
University´s student team.
In Tultepec´s International Symposium 1998, she was again an assistant in
stainless steel monumental sculpture. Daría has participated
in several
collective exhibitions in Mexico and Canada.
She married and moved to Quebec in 1999. In May 2000 she participated in
ESSARTS International Sculpture Symposium, in St-Pie-de-Guire, Québec. This
experience led her artwork to be exhibit at "Les Jardins Lumieres" exterior
gallery in L'Avenir, Québec, every summer until
2007.
In September 2005, she moved back to Puerto Vallarta with her husband to
start a family. In
2006 and 2008 she participated in the First Artist Women Hall collective
exhibition “Salón de la Mujer” .
Daría González had her 2cd Solo exhibition titled “Flaura & Fauna” in April
2008 in Puerto Vallarta´s Los Mangos Library. Thanks to several enriching
events on both professional and personal levels, Daria is on the path to a
successful and prolific career as an artist
June 2008.
