Born in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico in 1975, she first started by taking artistic drawing classes from 1991 to 1992. From 1992 to 1993, after a student exchange to Bowman, North Dakota, in USA, she studied small scale  sculpture. Then, from 1993 to 1998, she graduated in the art program, with a speciality in sculpture, at the University of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1996, she participated as an assistant at the symposium of monumental concrete sculpture, held in "Los colomos" park, in Guadalajara. During winter 1997, as a member of a student team from Guadalajara University, she participated to the Snow Symposium of Drummondville. In 1998, she repeated the experience again but working in stainless steel, in Tultepec, State of Mexico, Mexico.
Her work has been presented in several collective exhibitions, as well as in a solo exhibition for her professionnal exam. After her wedding in 1999, she moved to Drummondville, Québec.  In May 2000, her participation in the ESSARTS symposium, in St-Pie-de-Guire, Québec, led to the exhibition of her piece at the "Gardens of lights" exterior gallery in L'Avenir, Québec the following summer. She repeated that expereince during each summer until 2005.
In september 2005, she moved back to Puerto Vallarta with her husband to start her family.
Thanks to several enriching meetings on both  professionnal and personnal levels, Daria is on the path  to a successful and prolific career as an artist.
